CARRIAGE OAKS COMMUNITY POOL RULES
1. The Carriage Oaks Amenities are available for Carriage Oaks residents who are current on their Homeowner Association (POA) dues and Members in good standing.
2. The Carriage Oaks swimming pool is a SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK pool. There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Homeowners are responsible for their children and their children’s actions.
3. Pool hours are: Daily – 6:00 am - 10:00 pm during pool season. The pool gate can only be opened with a pool access card and is to remain locked at all times. Anyone without an access card will be asked to get their pass before they will be allowed to enter the pool area. Under no circumstances should the gate be propped open. Access cards will only open the gate during authorized hours.
4. All residents should always have possession of their pool access card and photo ID/proof of residency (or that of the homeowner/resident if under the age of 14) while using the recreational facilities. The pool will be monitored at certain times during the season and residents should be ready to show ID to any Board Member, Security Guard or Pool Monitor upon request. Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the pool area.
5. Persons entering, or remaining in, the pool during unauthorized hours will be trespassing and subject to arrest and prosecution.
6. Guests must be with a Member in possession of an amenity pass and photo ID. Each household may have up to six (6) guests at a time. (A guest is defined as any person not living in the household) Members take full responsibility for their guests’ actions and will be charged for any damages incurred by their guests.
7. The pool cannot be reserved. Homeowners wishing to host pool parties are responsible for the hiring of lifeguards in accordance with the contract available from our website at carriageoaksinfo.org.
8. Board Members, Security Guards and Pool Monitors reserve the right to ask any person who is considered unruly, intoxicated, using foul or abusive language, or otherwise misbehaving to leave the premises. Boisterous conduct, including but not limited to running, pushing, diving from chairs or other objects, and throwing of items is prohibited. Residents should never confront unruly people but are encouraged to call the Marietta Police Department at 770-794-5300 if a situation is deemed to be dangerous or volatile.
9. Appropriate swimming attire must be worn on pool grounds. This is a family environment—cut-offs, street clothes, thong swimsuits, and similar attire are not permitted at the pool.
10. Water balloons are not allowed in the pool area, as they can clog and damage the pool pumps.
11. Children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers or rubber pants under bathing suits and should be changed immediately upon accidents. No disposable diapers are allowed in the pool. Should fecal matter be detected please contact Access Management.
12. Only one person at a time may use the pool ladders.
13. Floating devices should be of a reasonable size and should be removed if the pool is crowded and/or they become a nuisance.
14. Smoking or vaping is prohibited in the pool area and restrooms.
15. No alcoholic beverages are allowed for anyone under the age of 21 at any of the Carriage Oaks Amenities. No glass containers are allowed inside the pool area.
16. Food and drink are not to be left unattended and should promptly be placed in covered trash containers. No food or drinks should be eaten or consumed in the pool. Everyone using the pool area is responsible for cleaning up and removing their property. Cleaning supplies and a broom are located under the sink in the pool bathrooms.
17. No pets are allowed in the pool area, according to County Health Codes.
18. Only Board Members and the pool maintenance crew are allowed in the pump room.
19. Report damaged furniture to the management company. If furniture or umbrellas are moved, they must be returned to their original location. Umbrellas must be closed when leaving the pool area.
PENALTIES
The Operating Rules for all facilities are designed to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all users and to protect the facilities. The Board reserves the right to revise these rules, as necessary. Please be respectful of all Members and Guests and report any health or safety concerns to a Board Member or the property management company.
If Members, their families, or Guests are found in violation of the rules for any amenity, the following penalties will apply:
1st Violation: Verbal warning
2nd Violation: Written warning
3rd Violation: Suspension of privileges (the type and frequency of violations will determine the length of suspension)
4th Violation: Fine (amount to be determined by the Board of Directors)
The Board of Directors, however, reserves the right to apply any combination of these penalties based on the severity of the violation. Penalties are cumulative and do not reset annually.
